Key Summary

We compiled 3,530 reviews of Potenza by Gangnam Unni and Babitalk whose purpose was pores or scars. The progression method was almost the same for the pores and scar reviews (average 2.6 times, about 4 weeks apart, 600 to 700 shots), 46% of the scar reviews said they were quite painful, and the average time for redness and scabs to subside was 3.2 days, which was greater than the pores review (30%, 1.9 days).

  1. The positive-review rate was 86% (842) for pores, 81% (131) for scars, and 88% (326) for reviews that included both pores and scars. The rates of reviews that said the target area improved were 89%, 84%, and 95%, respectively.
  2. There were many reviews about receiving Juvelook or skin booster together. Juvelook in combination was 14% of the pores reviews and 12% of the scar reviews, and the positive-review rate was 91% (181 cases) for Juvelook combination and 88% (176 cases) for skin booster combination.
  3. The average cost per time mentioned in the reviews was about 154,000 won for pores and about 155,000 won for scars. The regular selling price of Gangnam Unni is about 195,000 won on average at 26 clinics based on the general tip for the entire face.

86% of the 1,299 reviews about the effect said it was good, but 99% of the reviews were written within a month after the procedure, so it is impossible to know from the reviews how long the effect lasts.

What is Potenza and how is it used for pores and scars?

Potenza is an RF microneedling procedure that delivers high-frequency heat into the skin with a thin needle, and many reviews wrote about pores and acne scars together. According to a review of 42 RF microneedling studies in 2021, the process of reorganizing the dermis and creating collagen was slow and gradual, so improvement continued until 6 months after the procedure.

There were only 240 reviews that mentioned the type of tip. 111 were pore tips that aim at pores with a needle, 118 were pumping tips that add drugs such as Juvelook or skin booster, and 7 were diamond tips that do not insert needles. This article is not based solely on the results of the Potenza equipment, but is based on reviews and similar RF microneedling research.

Which concerns are most common in Potenza reviews: pores or scars?

Dividing the 3,763 reviews, pores were the most common at 2,175, followed by 957 reviews using pores and scars together, and 398 scars. There were 233 reviews for other purposes such as elasticity or acne, and this article covers 3,530 reviews for pores or scars.

Among the 515 reviews about pores, 337 were about loss of elasticity, 140 were about sebum and shine, and 38 were a combination of the two. Of the 209 reviews that used scar shapes, 133 were pitted scars (the shape was not used), 28 were mixed types, 21 were red marks, and 16 were pigmentation marks. There were 7 rolling, 3 boxcar, and 1 awl scars, so they were not compared by shape.

How was the progression different in the pores and scar reviews?

The number of times, interval, and number of shots were similar in the reviews about pores and scars, with the highest number of reviews receiving 3 shots. The average of the 963 reviews that wrote about the number of shots was 2.6, the average of the 171 reviews that wrote about the number of shots was 4.2 weeks, and 71% of the 149 reviews that wrote about the number of shots were 600 to 799 shots.

The interval (11) and number of shots (17) in the scar review are less than 20, so the average fluctuates significantly. Hospital settings, such as tip type, needle depth, and energy, are rarely written in reviews, so this article compares pores and scars in terms of number of cases, pain, and recovery time.

What was the Potenza effect like on pores and scars?

Of the 1,299 reviews on the effect, 86% said it was good, and by purpose, 86% said it was for pores, 81% for scars, and 88% said both. 9% said it was average for pores, 10% for scars, and 7% for both, and 5%, 9%, and 5% said it was ineffective.

There were 11 and 8 reviews saying that it was effective for red marks (21 cases) and pigmentation marks (16 cases), which were not many. By number of times received, 78% (105) of reviews were good once, 86% (99) of reviews twice, 85% (178) of reviews three times, and 80% (55) of reviews four or more times were good (based on pores reviews and reviews written by both).

Would the reviews be different if I received Juvelook or skin booster together?

Reviews that wrote that they received Juvelook or skin booster together were 22% for both pores and scars, and the positive-review rate was not much different from reviews that did not use the combination treatment. 86% (829 cases) of reviews that did not use the combination treatment said it was good, and 87% (470 cases) of the reviews that used the combination treatment said that it was good.

Fraxel and Aqua Peel had 12 and 11 reviews saying they were effective, so there were quite a few. Whether or not it is used in parallel depends on the hospital's consultation and pricing conditions, so the effectiveness of the combination cannot be judged based on the reviews.

What was the difference between the general tip and the pumping tip review?

There were 240 reviews about the type of tip, 90% (50) of the pores tip reviews, and 81% (58) of the pumping tip reviews were good. Of the 118 pumping tip reviews, 100 were reviews of receiving Juvelook or skin booster together.

How much is Potenza?

The one-time average of the prices disclosed by the hospital was about 195,000 won for the general face tip (26 clinics) and about 306,000 won for the pumping tip (4 clinics), and the average one-time price written in the reviews was about 154,000 won for pores, about 155,000 won for scars, and about 162,000 won for both.

The Gangnam Unni sales price is the lowest price per hospital for one time and excludes first visit, experience, and event products. The official website price is the average of 4 out of 21 Gangnam clinics where Potenza prices were confirmed. Guaranteed number of shots (600 shots, 700 shots, 900 shots), whether or not the tip is included, and conditions for confirming the opening of genuine tips vary from hospital to hospital, so even if the price is the same, the details are different.

The review price is the payment amount written on the platform, so it is a mix of event prices, and the value-added tax, number of shots, and included management vary from hospital to hospital, so it is lower than the hospital's published price. Package amounts and amounts that bundle multiple procedures have been subtracted.

How did the research view RF microneedling?

For pores, the improvement rate increased as the number of treatments increased, and for scars, improvement was similar to that of fractionated CO2 laser, with combined treatment outperforming single treatment. The study below was conducted using the same series of RF microneedling equipment, not Potenza.

ResearchtargetResults
Ren K et al., J Cosmet Dermatol 2022Retrospective observation of 75 patients with poresAverage 1.7 times. The rate of moderate or greater improvement after the first treatment was 13.8% for the nose, 8.9% for the forehead, and 11.1% for the cheeks, and increased as the number of treatments increased. The longer the heat application time (pulse width) was (300 ms), the greater the effect of the first treatment.
Huang Y et al., Lasers Med Sci 2024Ball pores 22 people, 3 times at 1-3 month intervalsThe pores level 6 score decreased from 3.55 to 2.59, and the pain averaged 6.4 out of 10.
Wu X et al., Dermatol Ther 202220 people, 2 timesThe skin barrier returned to standard on the 7th day of treatment, and there was no worsening of freckles or changes in sensitivity until 6 months.
Hendel K et al., Lasers Surg Med 2023Comparison of half faces of 15 people with scars, Episode 1It was the same as the fractional CO2 laser (texture improved by 1 point), the high frequency was more painful, and the laser caused greater erythema.
Li W et al., J Dermatolog Treat 2026Comparison of half faces of 30 people with scars, 3 times at 8 week intervalsThe improvement score was the same as the CO2 laser, and high frequency had shorter erythema and crusting periods and less pigmentation.
Kim J et al., Yonsei Med J 2023Comparison of half faces of 23 Koreans, 3 times at 4-week intervalsThe combination of high frequency and fractionated laser had better scar and acne scores than the laser alone.
Ou Y et al., Aesthetic Plast Surg 2026Dented scar test, part 56, 1,488 peopleThere were many comparisons where the combination treatment was superior to the single treatment, and the choice was made based on scar type, downtime, and pain.
Tan MG et al., Dermatol Surg 2021RF microneedling test part 42It is safe to repeat, and dermal reorganization continues up to 6 months after the procedure.

Most papers are small studies of 15 to 75 people, and the equipment and treatment settings are different, so some of the figures are lower than the pores improvement rate in the later stage (around 10% after the first treatment). Most reviews are written immediately after the procedure, so research and reviews are not compared on the same level.

What process did DermaFocus have that had a high positive-review rate in Potenza reviews?

Based on the reviews, the highest positive-review rates were reviews using both pores and scars (88%) and reviews using pores (86%), and 81% were reviews about scars. The method of progression was similar for all three reviews: 2 to 3 times, at intervals of about 4 weeks, and 600 to 700 shots.

The differences in the reviews according to my concerns are as follows.

  1. Pores had a positive-review rate of 92% (130 reviews) among reviews concerned about loss of elasticity, which was higher than 80% (59 reviews) of reviews concerned about sebum. It received 2.6 reviews on average, 30% said it was quite painful, and the average redness was 1.9 days.
  2. Pain and recovery were greater in the scar review than in the pores review. 46% of the reviews said it was quite painful, redness and scabs lasted an average of 3.2 days, and 30% of the reviews (7 out of 23) lasted more than 5 days. 87% (60 cases) of reviews about the pitted scar were good.
  3. There were many reviews of Juvelook in combination with skin booster. 91% (181 reviews) liked Juvelook in combination, 88% (176 reviews) liked Juvelook in combination, and 86% (829 reviews) did not use it in combination.

There are other progress that have good reviews. There were 90% (50) reviews of the pores tip, 81% (58) of the reviews of the pumping tip, and 7 out of 7 reviews of the die tip.

86% of the reviews about the effect said it was good, but most of them were written immediately after the procedure. This comparison is based on reviews, not medical superiority or inferiority, and the results of the procedure vary from person to person, so the ratio of reviews does not guarantee the results. Because scars have limitations as a stand-alone procedure depending on their depth and shape, concurrent procedures are preferred in the paper, so during your consultation, ask what type of scar you have and whether it is a combination procedure.

Potenza What should I ask during a consultation?

Start by deciding whether your problem is pores, scars, or both, and ask for tips and combination procedures. This is because the scar reviews had greater pain and recovery time than the pores reviews.

What to checkQuestions to Ask
Concerns and TypesAre my pores caused by sebum or loss of elasticity? What does the scar look like and how deep is it?
